Department of MBA was incarnated under the wing of Vysya College by the Vysya philanthropists of Vasavi Vidya Trust in the year 1998. The MBA programme is affiliated to Periyar University, Salem and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and got “A” grade status from NAAC Bangalore. So far, 9 batches of MBA students have been awarded Masters Degree in Business Administration from our institute. Our mission is to create well equipped managers who can perfectly lead the global corporate.  MBA programme is framed to inculcate the management skills with Indian values. It is strongly believed that nurturing thoughts makes the wisdom.

       The MBA class rooms are equipped with LCD projectors, and provided with computer system for power point presentations. Seminars, workshops, and frequent guest lectures are exclusively conducted in audio-video theatre. Teaching pedagogy for the students including lecture method with PPT, case studies, seminars, assignments, projects, group discussions, stimulation games, management games, role play etc.,

       Dual specialization in MBA programme is being offered with Marketing, HR, Finance & Systems operations. 

       Two students have crowned the University 1st Rank in Periyar University, and awarded Gold medal during the year 2004 and 2006 respectively. Many university ranks are also obtained by our students.  

       Separate hostel for boys and girls, with solar water heater, mineral drinking water facilities are provided. Computer lab facility is given in both the hostels with free internet connection.

       A three day Entrepreneurship Development Camp was organized in 2008 to impart the entrepreneurship spirit among the students. Various events like product launch, 3 day Tourism Awareness Camp are conducted to develop their practical skills continuously.  We have conducted one day Management Development Programme (MDP) on 18.02.08.”Gallent 08 “Intercollegiate meet was conducted on 16.10.08.

      “Only right persons with right skills are rightly placed”. Keeping this in mind, the students are given additional training and development programmes at frequent intervals.  Also, industrial visits to various leading  companies located in Mumbai, Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem and Trichy.  Various industries  as Reid & Taylor, Ford, BHEL, Parle, Indorama Cement Factory, Coco-Cola, Shanthi Gears, Nestle, Arun Ice Cream, TVS are some of our visited industries. 

       Unique personality development programmes and workshops are very oftenly endowed to keep them always in the right path.  

       The college is graded 11th (B-level-3) at all India level in a survey covering 800 B-Schools conducted by Business India; Category C in the year 2005, and C+ in 2007 by All India Management Association survey.

      The College is graded Category C in Sept.2008  by Indian Management.

       It can be proudly said that leading recruiters hire our students whose aptitude is tested in their campus interview. Our students are placed in Lakshmi Vilas Bank,ICICI Prudential, Karur Vysya Bank, Glaxo SmithKline, Aircel, HDFC Bank, Motorola, Titan, HCL, ICICI Lombard, Blue Lotus, Reliance Insurance, Bharathi AXA Insurance etc., Many of our students have become entrepreneurs.

       Our hands join with many leading associations like All India Management Association New Delhi,  Coimbatore Management Association, Madras Management Association (Salem Chapter), National Institute of Personnel Management (Salem Chapter) for our external interaction.

       MBA students have participated in various management meet organized by various B-schools in-and- around Tamil Nadu. The best team and overall trophy was won by our students, at Bishop Heber College in 2007. Students have also participated in various National conventions and seminars conducted in Tamil nadu, Karnataka etc., and brought laurels to our Institution.

       Renowned personalities from Corporate and top B-schools are brought to equip the students and offer world class training.

       We are having dedicated Faculty team in the Department.  Some, with more than 25 years of industrial experience.  The Faculty are provided with striking infrastructure facilities and oftenly participated in various national level seminars, conferences, workshop etc., Some of the papers submitted by them were appreciated by the judges of the events.

       Our MBA Library that equipped with computerized network, has more than 7200 volumes, 65 National and International magazines and journals. We are having 104 CD volumes in various disciplines, exclusively for MBA. We have a tie-up with British Council library ,American Library & DELNET Facility in order to update the students’ knowledge towards Global needs.

       Students are provided with latest TFT, LCD Pentium IV monitor with 24/7 free internet and browsing facilities.

       Our Institute has Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) with leading industries in-and-around Salem. The admission procedure for entering our institute is by means of writing entrance exam of TANCET conducted by Government of TamilNadu (Anna University) / Consortium Examination organized by group of self financing colleges.
